Chicken Pox can be a very serious factor during your second and fourth month of pregnancy, as this disease can lead to miscarriage or birth defects. Therefore it is vitally important that if you haven’t had it as a child and developed a natural immunity to it that you stay clear of anyone that has it. It is also a sensible idea to stay clear of other children that have not had chicken pox, as they may be carriers of the disease.

If you should contract the disease at any time during this part of your pregnancy it is necessary for you to contact your doctor immediately as he or she can proscribe you with a drug that will prevent the disease from developing if given to you within 96 hours of being exposed.
