Uncomfortable Feelings

You may start to feel a little uncomfortable at this stage as your body is changing so rapidly and you are experiencing so many different emotions that the pressure of carrying a child can cause you to feel stressed. Remember that you are going to be a mother and the reward of this will surpass any feelings that you are having. Heartburn can be an irritating part of the later stages of pregnancy. There are ways to prevent or ease this condition though:

• Rather than eating three regular large meals a day, adjust your diet so that you consume five smaller meals instead;
• Do not eat foods that are likely to cause you irritation, such as foods that are spicy or fried, as these will sit funny in your stomach and cause excess acid;
• If the problem persists so much that it is causing you to lose sleep over it then consult your doctor who may be able to advise you of medication that can ease your burden.
